An Aussie Rules footballer (cross a soccer prima donna with a side of beef). This guy is struggling to move but manages to pull off a couple of aerials and suzi-q's whist his partner dances around him...

Critique aside - awesome seeing Lindy Hop hitting TV in Oz and seeing Kouta with a big smile on his face at the end :) - good work!

Finally got to watch this today - off sick :( pretty damn good effort I think I thought the aerials were good :) nice to see them giving a nice accurate description of lindy hop - and showing Hellzapoppin'!

Apologies for the tangent - I read a bit of the Strictly Come Dancing book at the weekend in a bookshop and they described the Jive as the youth dance in America of the 1920s and that jitterbug and rock n roll came out of it! Hmm...I think not

It was in a bookshop in Gerrards Cross - was with my mum and my comment was "bollocks" which she told me off for. You can probably see it in WHSmiths I expect. Makes you wonder who's doing the research.

That's it on Amazon. Thing is Bruce Forsyth is pretty knowedgable on dance history, but I guess he doesn't really have a say on content. I guess I just expect more.

Just makes me think back to Uni where, when I wrote a paper, I had to verify my sources, ensure they were respectable and accurate, and have several for just one fact just to make sure I wasn't simply tossing bs around. I never ceases to amaze me that PROFESSIONAL writers, people who MAKE MONEY on these things can get away with stuff like that when every swing resource out there contradicts them.

grrr

Me too, it's kinda disturbing on how way off the mark this description was.

Just noticed I've graduated from "dance monkey" to "flat foot floogie" - um thanks but isn't that an ugly prostitute (with VD)?

May be true, but at least now you get to go 'floy floy' and others don't need to worry about poo flinging and nit picking when you get excited
