Hello all,
My name is Candice, and I'm from Cleveland, OH, USA. Yes, I bal.
I'm moving to France next year and will be making fairly regular trips to England and Scotland... I hope to meet and dance with all of you!
I'm also going to be in the London area all of next week. Is there anything happening that's fairly easy for someone not too familiar with the area to find? Also, if anyone can recommend an inexpensive hostel, that would be wonderful.
Thanks, and I look forward to meeting you all!

Hi Candice,

This link should show regular dances in London scheduled for the week starting Monday 10th September -

If balboa is your thing, you should try the Friday Balboa night in Turnham Green - a little way west of Central London, but next to Turnham Green tube station (see Lindy Circle's website for details).

If you're in Central London on Monday, Stompin' at the 100 Club is at 100 Oxford Street, between Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus tube stations (about 10 minutes walk from either).

As for hostels, although I can't recommend one, here are two organisations you could try. Both seem pretty cheap -

Or ask on Trip Advisor -

Thank you so much for the info, Haydn. It's very much appreciated. I'm going to try to make it out Monday night, and if possible Friday as well. Thanks again!

Hi all. I'm Jen from Hawaii now, Colorado most of the other time. =) I'm looking to visit the UK at the end of September. My husband and I are Lindy and blues types and would love to make it to the ELX.

Just stopping in to say 'hi'. I'm sure I'll be back with loads of questions later.

Cheers!

Hi, I am Sara and I am just now popping my forum cherry so please be gentle ;)

I love to swing dance and have been doing it for going on 8 years. However the past 3 years I haven't been going as often as I used to or as often as I would like due to something quite good and something quite bad.

The good is I left my tele sales job to follow my dream of becoming a fashion designer. the bad is a long winded story involving botch ups with the NHS over a much needed op (next Friday baby) anyhow since the health side is finally being sorted I will be able to dance a lot more in the coming months. so come find me on the dance floor guys and gals as I also lead.
