Here's what some of the dancers said about Camp Balboa Seattle 2010.

"OMG! Camp Balboa Seattle was A-MAZE-ING! Like for real! I had two nights of some of the best dances I've had in ages - GREAT Music, awesome instructors.... Can't wait for next year!"

"Great Job on Camp Balboa Seattle 2010, Jo! Since i've only been dancing since Feb, i didn't realize that this was the 1st year....OUTSTANDING!"

"What I liked best about the camp was how we progressed by learning simple variations of moves we already knew, rather than random fancy moves that are so hard to remember. Can't wait to get out for more dancing!"

"The event was amazing. I will be back next year."

"Camp Balboa Seattle , latest Pacific Northwest Balboa event, was absolutely amazing. Amazing social dances and awesome workshops with great instructors including Nick Williams, David Rehm, and Kate Hedin. Special thanks to Jo Ann Coker for making this event happen. Looking forward to next year's event."

Presentation by Nick Williams, Dean Raftery and Dwight Lupardis - 'Original Pure Balboa Dancers and Styles'

Dwight is a Balboa Historian and has been in the Balboa scene for decades will be sharing some of his knowledge with us.

Dean is one of the few pure Balboa dancers left from the 1930s. His style is smooth, subtle and effortless to watch. He doesn't travel quite as often anymore (he's 90), so I am very excited he is able to join us for Camp Balboa Seattle!
